Is immortality is possible
Hello friends I conducted a local survey asking my friends to tell me. what they expect from science
i think 60% them had expected for immortality. immortality-the ability to live forever -has been a dream since ancients. can we live for ever? lets discuss.
but before we should discuss why an organism dies.
Another theory holds that the cells have expiration date and can only reproduce a no. of times. some scientists also believe that more you live the body has to repairs more. at last the human machine gets tired and no longer repairs it self .
all these theory can explain the process of aging to an extent
why do organism die
according to one theory the life span of a organism had been programmed into their DNA.
Once you reach a certain age it triggers the aging process. Which retards your capability to repair your damage cells, fighting against diseases. it weakens the organism and he cannot perform his life processes and ultimately dies.

Can we live for ever?
Now lets return to the question, is immorality is possible? today nothing is impossible for science but immortality is a difficult task to achieve. it can take centuries to achieve this. But in next few decades some doctors and scientists have claimed to inject nanobots - the small robots that can repair the cell which can increase the life span to several hundred of years.

nanobots can be seen as a microscopic robot doctors which can repair cells in body. they can also be used to treat cancers and other fatal diseases like tumors etc. they can tremendously increase life span of organism for hundred of years.
Is immortality is good?
I think it is not if we achieve immortality it will be against the rule of nature. And can have very severe consequences. Today population is growing at a rapid rate And if immortality is achieved it can lead to a massive man made disaster. Death is also necessary for sustaining of life if it will not occur it will disturb the environmental balance and there is also a possibility of human made dooms day.
